The Colonial Theatre | Phoenixville, PA
(L) Angus & Didgeridrew (R) with Frank of
Downtown Harvest

i seem to be doing a lot of living.
i collect and chop wood. i make fires. i mow
big lawns. i prune apple trees. i dig in the
garden.
i watch the weather change several times a
day.
and i have done all these things before, but
not since i was a boy on the farm.
i share the adventure with the one i'm meant
to be with, so nothing is really a chore ...
and for the first time ever i have a
dedicated music room. having made music as a
living for over 20 years,
i think it is about time.
i am excited by the new music emerging ...
drew and i did a concert with scythian a
couple of weeks back at the beautiful
phoenixville theatre.
it was the first time i've brought the pipes
into the duo setting. felt like a good
start.
frank from the downtown harvest joined us
for a couple. his tasteful sax, acoustic
guitar and harmonies were a highlight of the
night. an extended all in jam with scythian
saw the evening out. it was a pleasure to
share a stage again with the lads. love
lek's fiddle paying ...
the new fangled technology i'm dabbling in
is creating many more possibilities. last
weekend i sat in at drew's workshop set up
at the maryland games. i really got to
experiment with the looping of sounds and
ideas more than ever, away from the usual on
stage environment.
and now, we just have to book some more
shows. and plant an apricot tree ...
later in the day ... my lady lichen rescued
a hummingbird, trapped and exhausted in the
screened in side porch,
revived her and saw her on her way...
later still ... we saw our first bear here,
black as coal, ambling across the backyard
and on into the woods.
2 incredible creatures. i'd call this a good
day. magic.
