recorded at patricia's farm, deep in the aussie bushland

one day.  The first BROTHER album recorded in Australia.  The band set up a few microphones on the verandah of a farmhouse deep in the Aussie bush land and began playing.  Most songs were done in one take, coming to life as BROTHER played them and capturing the feeling of the magical environment in which the lads found themselves.  As the tracks pass you by, you will experience one day as it unfolds in the Australian bush.

reflections.

angus (11.22.08) the plan was to find out what such an environment - both calming and intoxicating - could bring out of us. patricia's farm is in bushland some miles from the picturesque little township of mudgee(itself a step back in time) just west of the blue mountains. the countryside, how it looks, sounds and smells, takes me back to being a little fella, staying at our granpa's farm. they're some of my earliest memories. we'd often stay there before we moved from sydney back to the country where our dad, big dave, grew up.

there was no pressure in the recording process. no time restraints or performance guidelines, nor even an imperative to 'make an album'.  we just wanted to be as in touch with our surroundings as possible and see what happened.
